Linking a modern take on the tree-houses with a series of net elements provides a challenge for all ages.

Lining the green edge of the Aston Estate along Craigieburn Road, the design, equipment, materials and landscaping treatments chosen for this playground work perfectly with their setting. Surrounded by remnant Red Gums and flanked with open farmland, the space offers a great collection of challenging experiences and also caters to the family, with beautiful views, architectural shelters and seating. Climbing pieces have been used in abundance here, with a low ropes course leading to an open ‘nest’ hang-out space at one end of the design and a bamboo-clad, bi-level cubby with internal rope matrix at the other.

Tall, undulating rubber bridges and twisted balancing elements add value to the course with opportunities for creative play. Steel horizontal bars present higher level climbing and fitness challenges for those wanting to push their limits and exhaust their energy. In such a natural location, the taller climbing elements provide a sensation of fying through the trees, generating cherished memories for years to come.
