Plyometric Step


Level: Intermediate
Regression: Step-ups on a lower surface
Progression: Depth jumps or more complex step jump variations

Stand in front of a plyometric step with feet shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees and push upwards, jumping onto the step with both feet. Step back down carefully, landing softly. Repeat the explosive jump for an effective plyometric exercise.

How to do:

1. Inhale deeply, then exhale as you explosively jump onto the step.

2. Upon landing, immediately inhale as you prepare for the next jump.

3. Maintain a consistent breathing rhythm for a controlled and effective plyometric step exercise.


Prioritize safety, start with proper warm-up, choose suitable step height, focus on form, engage core, progress gradually, stay hydrated.
