Six large play rings intersected by the deck and a mature eucalyptus tree provide multiple play opportunities.

Opened in 2015, Paddocks Precinct Playground is situated in historic Parramatta Park. The design brief concentrated on respecting the expansive nature of the landscape, with a mature eucalyptus tree selected as the focal point for the large timber walkway that helps divide the play space.

The playground is laid out across six large ‘play rings’ that are intersected by the deck. These ‘rings’ include a water play element, structure play elements, and free play space, along with an all-abilities opportunity of a carousel, water pumps and woodland discovery. In keeping with the brief and respecting the landscape, the designer chose a neutral colour palette to complement its surrounding.
